Trump Celebrates 'One Big Beautiful Bill' as Game-Changer in US Politics

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has hailed the passage of what he calls the “One Big Beautiful Bill” as a defining achievement in his return to political spotlight. The bill passed narrowly in the House of Representatives by 218 to 214 votes, with only two Republicans siding with Democrats to oppose it.

At a jubilant rally in Iowa commemorating the United States’ 250th anniversary, Trump claimed the bill would "inject rocket fuel" into the economy. He celebrated the legislative win as a birthday gift to the nation and proof of Republican strength, saying Democrats opposed the bill only due to political hatred toward him.

During the same speech, Trump floated a controversial proposal: allowing American farmers to decide if undocumented immigrants working for them can remain in the country. “If a farmer vouches for someone, maybe that should be enough,” he said, prompting both support and concern.

Trump also touted recent military strikes against Iran, calling the operations a “complete obliteration” and claiming it restored America's image of strength. He used the moment to criticize past administrations, especially the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which he described as the “most embarrassing day in U.S. history.”

He went further to criticize New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, labeling him a “radical communist” and pledging never to allow what he called “Marxist ideologies” to control American cities.

Critics of the bill, however, are sounding the alarm. They argue that while Trump’s legislation promises growth, it could add over $3 trillion to the national deficit and severely cut social programs like Medicaid. Economic analysts and Democrats say the long-term impact could deepen inequality and strain federal budgets.

Nevertheless, for Trump and his supporters, this legislation marks the beginning of a new era of assertive governance, national pride, and conservative policy-making — one that they believe will shape America’s next chapter.
